FIELD NOTES / SERIES 22 / SOURCE-SCOPED REFERENCE
Four contacts.
Different systems.
Recognize a legacy peripheral-power lead without confusing it with the smaller historical floppy connector—or with SATA, Slimline SATA, Micro SATA and SAS drive/backplane connections.
No connector shown here is an instruction to connect, rewire or fabricate power cabling. A bare housing, a populated lead and a working device assembly are three different claims.
TWO PRIMARY MANUFACTURER DRAWINGS / QUALITATIVE VIEWS
Not every four-contact plug is the same.
TE 1-480424-0 and TE 171822-4 are bare-housing examples, not manufacturer-approved sketches of a complete power-supply lead. These original artworks intentionally omit keying details, tolerances, contacts and cable-side wiring.

What you know. What still needs checking.
TE 1-480424-0 plug housing; Intel peripheral example
Full-size legacy peripheral / LP4
Established: A bare 4-position commercial MATE-N-LOK plug housing: single inline row, 5.08 mm listed centerline and wire-to-wire crimp role.
Not established: This is not an assembled PSU harness, its contact arrangement or a universal generic “Molex 4-pin” replacement.
Next check: Identify the actual PSU cable and peripheral equipment. Confirm exact part and complete assembly.

TE 171822-4 AMP EI receptacle housing; Intel historical example
Miniature floppy-drive example
Established: Four-position narrow wire-to-board housing with TE-listed 2.5 mm centerline; Intel explicitly marks the floppy-drive connector as historical.
Not established: “Four-pin” does not make it LP4. No contact map, rails, cable wiring, or present-day PSU requirement is supplied.
Next check: Check the exact TE housing and legacy device documentation; avoid trial fitting.

Historical Intel ATX power-supply guide 336521 / v2.01
SATA 15-position drive power
Established: A separate Serial ATA power connector reference, distinguished from the seven-position SATA data interface and old peripheral housings.
Not established: Do not infer data capability or adapter safety from the presence of SATA-shaped power.
Next check: Resolve drive power demands, manufacturer cables and host/controller documentation separately.

Molex PS-47300-001 revision C (2009-02-12)
Slimline SATA optical-drive form
Established: A source-scoped Slimline Serial ATA ODD connector series. The historical document labels a 1.27 mm pitch in its exact product family.
Not established: Not the same as full-size SATA power or a modern universally mating slimline specification.
Next check: Obtain the specific optical drive and mating-component sales drawing before deciding on a cable.

SAS SFF-8482 drive / backplane
Established: An existing primary source documents a SAS/SATA receptacle; the 29-circuit cited example is a component-specific record.
Not established: No assumed SAS support in a SATA-only host or any opposite-direction adapter promise.
Next check: Check backplane, controller and drive model and the source-specific connector role.

Established: 1.8-inch storage context with different listed device-plug and receptacle series, including flanged and nonflanged plug variants.
Not established: The text-only brochure is not a newly inspected exact geometry view; do not conflate plug/receptacle or orientation variants.
Next check: Identify the exact series, component role, drawing and device documentation; no physical view added.

THE LABEL “FOUR-PIN” IS NOT A MATE
A source-linked distinction.
P367 / Concept — not physical geometry
Four contacts ≠ one connector
Two manufacturer-scoped historic power-housing examples; no equivalence claim
editorial identity comparison · Concept only
A count of four does not establish compatibility. This plate contains no contact plan, adapter or wiring instructions.

Inspect view & provenance (private workspace)Manufacturer-listed centerline values belong to their named housings only. The two old power ends can look alike in a search result, but TE describes different product lines and distinct component roles. Those values do not establish compatibility, pin functions, power load or present-day PSU instructions.

COVERAGE LEDGER / OPEN TECHNICAL QUESTIONS
Deliberately unresolved.
No new exact physical specimen of P195, P196 or P199 was made: the historical Slimline source shows a product specification, the SAS record remains component-specific, and the Micro SATA brochure was text-acquired but its page screenshot failed. P194 has only an inherited recognition study, not a new exact housing inspection.
Previous image requests P190, P192, P193 and P260 / exact Molex 2191161161 stay open. Intel v2.01 (2023) shows a newer-version notice; its floppy connector subsection is explicitly historical. Independent electrical review, artwork rights review, full historical regressions and owner launch authorization are not complete.
